The Shy

No remorse into the night
As love proceeds to draw you tight
And never will you feel the same
You curse yourself, though who's to blame?

Attention seeks the quiet night
As silence strays from brightest light
Then shades are drawn and bulbs burn dim
The light that shines is light within

A silent stranger not a fool
Using night much like a tool
Darkness which will hide his face
Shelter shame and then, disgrace.
